Kaitlin Vinnedge, MSW
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, which is why creating a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and genuinely welcoming is an important part of my work. I strive to help my clients feel heard, understood, and safe to show up authentically as we work through both past experiences and present-day challenges.
I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, and trauma. I have a particular passion for supporting individuals healing from complex trauma, domestic violence, and other abusive or harmful relationships. I recognize that trauma can deeply influence the way we understand ourselves, experience relationships, navigate safety and trust, and engage with the world around us. My work is grounded in the belief that, with the right support and therapeutic environment, meaningful healing and growth are possible.
My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and individualized to the needs of each client. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my work, and I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I don't believe therapy is one-size-fits-all, so I work alongside my clients to develop a treatment plan that reflects their individual needs, experiences, and goals. Your feedback is an important part of that process, and we'll regularly check in about what's working, what isn't, and how we can adjust our approach as your needs evolve.
Whether you're working to process painful experiences from the past, better understand patterns in your relationships, or navigate challenges happening in the present, my goal is to help you develop a stronger understanding of yourself, build confidence in your ability to cope, and move toward meaningful and lasting change. Throughout that process, I hope to offer a compassionate and supportive therapeutic relationship where you don't have to navigate that work alone.
