Hello

Couch

Alejandra Escobedo, LMHCA

Alejandra is a compassionate and dedicated mental health counselor. Her therapeutic style revolves around the principles of compassion and connection. She believes that true compassion is empathy in action—more than just understanding, it is about creating a space where clients feel deeply seen and validated. Alejandra’s empathy extends beyond the idea of "putting herself in someone else's shoes"; she fully believes and trusts clients when they express their lived experiences. With that, she does not see herself as offering answers but rather guiding clients toward uncovering the answers they already hold within themselves.

Alejandra’s professional interests are broad and ever-growing. She is passionate about first-generation journeys, women's issues, multicultural counseling, grief and trauma work, crisis intervention, college mental health, peri- and postnatal mental health, and identity development.

Alejandra works primarily with adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, disordered eating, ADHD, crisis and trauma, and self-love struggles. While her primary focus is on adults, she also sees teens and parents with children on a case-by-case basis. She has extensive experience working with college students, as well as children and women navigating addiction and domestic violence.

Alejandra obtained her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University. When she is not working with clients, she enjoys spending time with her German Shepherd, Nevada, and cherishing moments with her niece and nephew. She also finds joy in the arts, traveling Broadway productions, movies, reading, and indulging in her favorite guilty pleasure—telenovelas!
