Leah Gabler, Intern (M.S. Education), CBIS (certified brain injury specialist)

Hello! I’m currently pursuing my M.S.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Purdue University Fort Wayne. As a counselor-in-training, I believe that every person’s journey is unique and deeply personal. I strive to honor the individuality of your path and the lens through which you view your world.

In our work together, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can be your true, authentic self. I am committed to fostering a therapeutic environment that promotes self-growth, personal development, and greater self-awareness.

This is your journey, and I am here to walk beside you with empathy, sincerity, and acceptance. Through our work, I am dedicated to holding a space that respects your voice and your process, while always upholding confidentiality.

I have experience working with a variety of concerns, including:

  • Addiction

  • Trauma and abuse

  • Brain injury informed (CBIS)

  • Couples and relational issues

  • Children and individual counseling

  • Oppression and systemic issues

  • LGBTQ+ affirming care

  • Life transitions

  • Anxiety and depression

In session, I draw from a range of evidence-informed approaches to meet your unique needs:

• Gestalt Therapy: Focusing on present-moment awareness, authentic contact, and balancing attention between self and environment.

• Internal Family Systems (IFS): Including deep inner child work to support healing and integration of internal parts.

• Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Used with couples to strengthen emotional bonds and create secure, connected relationships.
