Abigail Rodriguez, Intern (M.S. Education)

I am passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their strengths. I believe that you are the expert of your own life and that my role is to support you with empathy, encouragement, and practical tools to help you gain insight, build resilience, and move toward the meaningful change you seek. Together, we can work toward greater clarity, connection, and a renewed sense of purpose.

I work with teens, adults, and elderly individuals facing a variety of life concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, the emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis or other life-altering health conditions, trauma and immigration-related trauma.

As a bilingual counselor, I am able to offer services in both English and Spanish, helping to create a more comfortable and accessible space for clients to express themselves fully in the language that feels most natural to them.

As a counseling practicum and internship student, I bring an approach that integrates Adlerian, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Person-Centered Therapy. I especially draw from Adlerian theory to explore how life experiences and relationships shape your sense of self and integrate CBT and REBT to help identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that may be contributing to distress.
