Ashley Kelver, LMHCA
When you walk into my office, I want you to experience a sense of place and presence that reminds you of the dignity and value you hold and the importance of the time you're dedicating to your healing and growth.
Together, we'll nurture a safe place to practice taking healthy risks as you learn more about how you reflect, relate, and regulate. It is my sincere belief and hope that you will also discover resources and strengths within you that will uniquely enrich the work we do together.
I work with individuals (12 and older) facing any number of concerns, including those related to anxiety and depression, trauma, grief, life stage changes, relational difficulties, career stress and change, racial identity, and multiracial family dynamics.
I have expertise in educational settings (higher education and K-12) and its pains and joys, and I am passionate about breaking down barriers to how we think and talk about mental health as a broader community.
As a therapist, I view you as a whole person inside your daily context. I'm curious about your relationships, physical health, personality, beliefs, questions that keep you up at night, family background, how you think and feel about yourself, the ways you're coping with life stressors, and much more. Self-compassion and mindfulness are my therapeutic home, and I also heavily draw upon strategies from emotion-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing that are tailored to each individual as you work on the goals that brought you to therapy.
I’d be honored to walk with you as you build a new rhythm of curiosity and kindness to carry with you in your daily living.
