Hello

It is incredibly important to find a therapist that is the right fit for you. If you think we might be a good fit reach out!

McKenzie Paschen, LMHCA

I work with children, teens, and adults, with a particular passion for supporting kids and adolescents. I know that therapy (especially for kids and teens) works best when they feel comfortable, understood, and able to be themselves. I prioritize building genuine relationships with my clients and creating a space where they can talk openly without feeling judged or pressured.

My approach is curious, compassionate, and collaborative. I enjoy getting to know the person behind the symptoms: what matters to them, what they’re struggling with, what they’re already doing well, and what may be happening beneath the surface. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, stressful life circumstances, difficult past experiences, and other challenges that can make everyday life feel overwhelming.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviors. I also use a strengths-based approach, helping clients recognize the abilities and resilience they already have and learn how to draw on those strengths when facing something difficult.

For children and teens, therapy may also include building emotional awareness, developing practical coping skills, strengthening confidence, and learning how to communicate their needs more effectively. My goal is to meet each client where they are while helping them develop the tools they need to navigate challenges, advocate for themselves, and feel more confident in who they are.
