Ana Szopiak, LMHCA

I am dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and their families through life’s complexities. I specialize in working with young people facing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma by creating a safe, supportive space where they feel heard and empowered to grow.

I work closely with parents, understanding how isolating and overwhelming parenting can be—especially during tough times. As a parent myself, I believe strength comes from connection. I aim to be part of your support system, helping your family find balance and thrive.

My approach to working with children is grounded in attachment theory, emotional regulation, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I use creative and developmentally appropriate tools—including art, play, and role-playing—to help children express themselves, build trust, and develop emotional awareness. Through these modalities, I support children to gain confidence, strengthen their coping skills, and explore new ways of managing behavior and relationships.

Beyond my work with families, I support teens and young adults navigating relationships, identity (including religious identity), and life transitions. These experiences can bring anxiety and self-doubt—but you do not have to go through them alone. Together, we will explore these challenges and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
