Beth Pingel, intern
Beth is in her final year of graduate studies with Indiana University of South Bend. Prior to working toward her MHC, Beth first gained experience working with local social service agencies and most recently she has provided support for women and families at a pregnancy resource center. That time has offered Beth a unique and caring perspective in understanding the importance of listening well and caring well for individuals who are facing difficult life circumstances and the decisions that are impacted by such. Beth believes therapy is a journey of both insight and growing pains. She is inspired by a host of theorists and practitioners from Viktor Frankl to Ester Perel who are both great examples of highly respected professionals in the field, but are vastly different in their approach. Essentially, the work of therapy is as unique as the client and therapist who embark on the process together. Counseling can bring clarity in a time of crisis, an unexpected event, or discernment about the next season of life. It can also mean learning new skills or practicing the art of difficult conversations.
Beth specializes in working with adolescents and adults in the following areas:
Anxiety
Depression
Relationship Struggles
Parenting
Pre-natal/Peri-natal transitions, depression, and anxiety
