Being in Your Body • Yoga Series

Yoga for Being in Your Body is designed to disrupt the stress cycle, introduce capacity for being in your body, and build positive coping skills for managing mental and emotional well being. In this class we facilitate the mind/body connection through reflection and gentle movement. Each class begins with journaling followed by gentle and restorative yoga. This class is ideal for clients that have graduated from the Trauma Touch Therapy program or for anyone that is interested in beginning the journey of being in the body.
Yoga for Therapists • Pop-Up Class
March 24 • 10:00 AM • 90 minute class • $40

Yoga for Therapists is a space for therapists to come together to collectively breathe, release, and find rest. This class is designed to give support for burnout, caregiver fatigue, and allow for release of vicarious traumatization. This class offers a holding of space for check-in, gentle yoga to get you back into your body, followed by restorative yoga to facilitate deep rest for the nervous system.

This yoga series is designed to help rebuild trust with ourselves and our bodies through the embodiment practice of trauma informed gentle yoga. Through this class we begin to gently and safely reconnect with ourselves, discover safety in our bodies, and take back our somatic experiences to support ourselves on the path to recovery and empowerment. Each class is 90 minutes, includes a theme with an activity related to the theme (journaling or art therapy), followed by a trauma informed gentle yoga and restorative yoga practice. The gentle yoga practice portion of this class is designed to meet clients where they are, offering variations with yoga props to support finding safety and comfort in your body. The restorative yoga portion of this class is designed to provide deep rest to the nervous system.
Grow & Flow • Yoga Series

Grow and Flow Yoga offers 60 minutes of gentle slow flow yoga in a natural outdoor setting. Spending time in nature is linked to cognitive benefits and improvement in mood, mental health, and emotional well being. Yoga in nature helps facilitate the mind/body connection as well as the connection of self to our larger world. All participants signing up for the full series will receive a packet of sunflower seeds to plant in their own environment.
Participants are welcome to join us in planting sunflower seeds after our first class. Taking part in planting tasks has been shown to offer lower stress levels and increase positive emotions. By planting sunflowers we get to enjoy witnessing the growth process while also supporting our local ecosystem.

Healing Relationship with Food & Body • Yoga Series

This eight week yoga series is focused on helping heal the relationship with food and body. Research supports that diets have a high rate of causing patterns of disordered eating and eating disorders. In addition to yoga, this class series will include journaling and art. Each class will facilitate mind/body connection and offer nervous system regulation skills.
