If you have wanted to try yoga but felt intimidated by the yoga studio setting, this is the perfect class for you. Yoga is more than just a physical practice, in this class we will talk about the mind-body connection, how it translates both on and off the mat, and explore physical yoga postures to support mental well being. What you will need for class: yourself exactly as you are and bring your water. Yoga mats and props provided.

Self-Compassion Yoga

This 8 week series is an all levels, slow flow Hatha yoga designed to meet your body where it is, offer kindness and compassion to yourself, develop positive coping skills, and nervous system regulation skills.

Research in the field of neuroscience indicates that practicing self-compassion strengthens parts of the brain that support being happier, more resilient, and allow us to connect with others. In addition, studies show that when we practice self-compassion, we are more likely to remain motivated toward our goals than when we are self-critical. What you need for this class: yourself as you are and bring your water. Yoga mats and props provided.
